THE OPPORTUNITY

The firm’s client base and workload is evolving in line with the ever-changing and fast-moving nature of the patent landscape within the Life Sciences and Chemistry sectors.  The firm is seeking a skilled European Patent Attorney with a background in Chemistry/Medicinal Chemistry to join this stellar team based in Paris.

The successful candidate will work directly with clients, public institutes and innovative companies in assisting them with protecting and defending their innovations worldwide. The individual will be actively involved in building and advising on clients’ patent portfolios, lodging opposition proceedings before the European Patent Office and performing patentability and freedom to operate analysis.

THE CANDIDATE

The successful candidate will ideally be a fully qualified European Patent Attorney and possess the following:

  • A Masters Degree in Medicinal/Pharmaceutical Chemistry or equivalent and/or PhD;
  • A background working in either private practice and/or industry in the field of Pharmaceutical Chemistry;
  • Significant experience across several activities, including patent portfolio management, FTO matters and oppositions/litigation and agreements;
  • Fluency in oral and written English is mandatory.
