The Opportunity

This is an exceptional and rare opportunity for an experienced and ambitious trade mark attorney to develop and build out the trade mark practice in Munich for one of Europe’s leading international intellectual property firms. This is a key strategic hire and demonstrates the firm’s ambition to sustain and strengthen the trade mark practice as a market leader.

The Candidate

The successful candidate is likely to fulfil the following criteria:

  • Be a qualified trade mark attorney with a minimum of eight years post-qualification experience of hands on trade mark work, preferably within private practice or a law firm.
  • Client-facing, with the aim of servicing the existing pipeline and enhancing market visibility.
  • Deep understanding and experience of running EU portfolios.
  • Demonstrable experience in advising on all aspects of searching, filing, prosecution and maintenance globally; opposition, revocation and invalidity matters at the EUIPO.
  • Good market connections in Germany, including an international network.
  • A natural team player who embraces and excels in working with others.
  • Exhibit outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
